May grace of Vighnaharta bring welfare to all: PM Modi offers prayers at Delhi’s Vinayak Mandir

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday offered prayers at Shri Vinayak Mandir in Delhi’s Sarojini Nagar as he marked 25 years as the head of a government.

In a post on X, PM Modi said he prayed to Lord Ganesha for the happiness, prosperity and good health of people across the country.

“Today, I performed worship and rituals at the Shri Vinayak Temple in New Delhi. I prayed to Lord Shri Ganesha for the happiness, prosperity, and good health of my family members across the country. May the grace of Vighnaharta bring welfare to all, and may the nation continue to advance on the path of continuous progress,” he said.

PM Modi completed 25 years as the head of a government on October 7, marking a political journey that began when he took oath as Gujarat Chief Minister in 2001.

He served as Gujarat Chief Minister from October 7, 2001, until May 2014, when he became Prime Minister. He has remained in office since then.

The Union Cabinet on Tuesday passed a resolution congratulating Modi on completing 25 years of continuous service as the head of a government.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also congratulated the Prime Minister on the milestone, referring to it as a moment of “immense joy” and highlighting his commitment to public service and the principle of “Nation First”.

Adityanath said PM Modi’s 25 years as head of government reflected “an unwavering commitment to public service, resolute determination, visionary leadership, and the spirit of ‘Nation First’”.

He added that the Prime Minister’s life inspires people to work towards building a developed, self-reliant and strong India.
